Projects

Our project work is delivered in partnership with Creative Futures – an arts charity that believes in the transformative power of the arts and who work with artist-educators to devise and deliver programmes that seek to have a lasting impact. We have worked on the ground with many wonderful organisations such as Hackney Playbus, The Magpie Project, PACT and several Newham childrens centres, collaborating with many wonderful families and young children in making music and creating new songs and rhymes! With thanks to our funders Youth Music, The National Lottery, Newham Council, The Space CIC and London City Airport for their support of our work.

For a moment – as music fills the room mingling with the voices of mums, the murmur of babies, the deep resonance of the cello – everything is right with the world and the joy stings your eyes and catches in your throat.

– Jane, founder of The Magpie Project (charity partner)

Schools & settings

Use our music in your school or setting!

We believe in the transformative effect of singing for young children and teachers in schools and settings. At London Rhymes weve been developing our resources for teachers and children (early years and KS1), and would love to share these with you!

In response to the coronavirus pandemic, we wrote a series of new songs to help teachers and children adjust to the new normal that the pandemic made necessary (with thanks to ARK Schools for this commission), including the need for social distancing, hand washing, and bubbles.

We’re all amazing is a song written in response to the Black Lives Matter movement and reinforces messaging around celebrating difference, being proud of the things that make you you, and the fact that all these things make us unique and amazing.

These songs are all free to stream on YouTube and Soundcloud. Find out more about all these songs as well as purchase tracks, backing tracks and sheet music here.

If you are a school leader or teacher that would like to chat to us about commissioning us to write a song for your school or class, then do email us at hello@londonrhymes.com!
