  • What we’re trying to find out
What ‘music’ and ‘singing’ looks like in a range of settings that support families and under 3’s If there’s a need for more support for staff and/or volunteers leading music in their settings What exactly is needed to improve the skills, confidence and enjoyment of professionals delivering in settings
  • Who’s involved?
This Research and Development is funded by the Paul Hamlyn Foundation, ‘Ideas and Pioneers’ fund, and is being led by me, Rosie Adediran. I’m being supported by some other wonderful people and organisations such as MERYC, Tri-Muisc Together, Creative Futures and Sound Connections – all pioneers themselves in the world of music-making in the early years.
  • What you’ll get
A beautiful free printable to stick up in your setting entitled ‘Sing for the win!’ A PDF containing links to a choice of some excellent free resources, collated by myself and the network organisations involved in this project. The chance to become part of our network and gain access to events, training and new resources that are developed off the back of this research! We are also aiming to complete a number of case study visits (this would be appoximately a 3 hour visit involving a short interview, observation and a parent interview) and if we visit your setting, I will draw up some tailored recommendations for you and your setting.
  • Who can take part
If you are: Someone who works regularly with families and under 3’s Not providing childcare, but offering free drop-ins and services to families then we’d love you to complete the survey – link below!
